The original default avatar
Players can choose from a number of Avatars to use in the Secret Society® - Hidden Mystery game. There are currently 11 standard avatars associated with The Secret Society® - Hidden Mystery (SSHM) available to all players when they start a new game. The integration of SSHM into the G5 Friends™ platform in early 2019 added standard avatars from other G5® Games. These are not depicted in this article.
Your selected Avatar will appear in each G5® Game that you play.
In addition to the standard avatars, players can occasionally win new avatars by reaching Academician level in the Event picture during Timed Challenges. They can also use any other image.
A player's own avatars appear in a number of places in the game. They appear in a player's own game at the top left hand corner of their Home Desktop, iin the top left hand corner when visiting a Friend's desktop, in the My Profile tab of the Friends Section, and when they are viewing their stats in the Best Players list.
Friends' avatars in every tab of the Friends section except for My Profile. Friends' avatars also appear when viewing hires and charges on your home desktop.
When a friend changes their avatar, this will appear as a News Feed item. Players often change to the newest avatar upon reaching Academician level in the Event picture during a Timed Challenge event. Reviewing the News Feed is a good way to follow your friends' progress.
Changing Avatars[]
Players can change their avatar anytime. To change your Avatar, open the Friends section. Tap the My Profile tab at the bottom. Tap your current Avatar. Scroll through the available avatars and tap one to select it. The change will take place immediately.
G5 Friends™ also allows you to choose a photo from your computer or device to use. Tap your current Avatar on the My Profile tab. Tap the Photo Album button and browse to your selection.

Special Avatars[]
Many Timed Challenges introduced by Updates to the game have used unique avatars as a reward. Typically, players are asked to complete a challenge within a certain time frame to win the avatar. Once a player wins a special avatar it will always be available to them to use and will always appear as an option in their in-game avatar list. These avatars have a gold frame.
