Embankment in text mode

Embankment in Text mode

Embankment is unlocked when the player reaches level 226.

Players can 'pay to play' Embankment from level 224 onward, where they can choose to pay with crystals (which will need to be bought with real money) to unlock the Picture early, rather than waiting until they reach level 226 and unlock it for free through normal game play.

Embankment was introduced during the Stars of the Summer Nights Update (July 2018).

Lion Figurine special item

Lion Figurines were needed to play Embankment

For the duration of the update, Lion Figurine Special Items were needed in addition to energy points to play Embankment. Lion Figurines were given as rewards for every successful investigation for every picture, as well as for banishing anomalies, but not for playing puzzles.

From the Diary:

By the North Sea

Vincent, a photographer and student of Uncle Richard, told me something interesting today.  Before his disappearance, my uncle visited a northern city by the sea.  He was looking for a famous singer named Maria, who was an Explorer.  She disappeared without a trace many years ago, and she allegedly took with her an invaluable artifact of the Order - the Diamond Compass - which enables those who travel the worlds to never get lost.  The Order said that Maria stole the artifact, but Vincent contends that Uncle Richard never believed that.  I think it's worth investigating this mystery.  Maybe we can learn something new about my uncle's disappearance.

Resource Demands and Rewards for Playing[]

Embankment is a Collection Item only Picture. This means its list of potential rewards for each play only contains regular Collection Items, mode dependent Collection Items (depending on what mode the Picture is currently in), and Quest Items (if a Quest is currently active for the Picture). The list of potential rewards for Embankment is made up of 5 Collections:

When Embankment is first opened, it is at Novice level, and only the items from the Birthday gift collection will be on the list of potential rewards. As the level of the Picture is increased, more and more items will be unlocked as potential rewards.

The amount of energy required to play Embankment will increase as the level of the Picture is increased. The experience points and coins rewards for each win of the Picture will also increase to match the increase in resource demands:

Historical Notes[]

  1. During the Stars of the Summer Nights, the Energy demands and Experience points and Coins rewards were lower, because this was an Event picture which also required Special Items to play.
  2. The Energy demands and Experience Points and Coins rewards were adjusted by the Thanksgiving Day Update (November 2018).
