Six desktop awards available through normal gameplay

Pressing the "Awards" icon on your Home desktop brings up the Awards Screen. There are 29 awards available through normal gameplay. Six of these are represented by icons on the desktop and 23 are "Gamecentre" awards. These awards have multiple levels each, with the goals increasing for each level.

There are six more awards represented by icons on the desktop that are awarded by completing Timed Challenges.  These awards are not shown on the Awards Screen. Some of these awards have multiple levels.

Desktop Awards

The Sphere of Miracles

Sphere of Miracles Level 6

The Sphere of Miracles - Level 6

The Sphere of Miracles was originally offered as part of the Halloween 2013 Update. It was the 7th desktop award added to game, and the first that could be won only during Timed Challenge events. Once won, it is a permanent award on the player's desktop.

It has been available to win or upgrade every year during the Halloween update timed challenge event.

It does not matter which year you previously won the Sphere of Miracles or what your current level for it is, as soon as you complete the latest Halloween challenge, your Sphere of Miracles will be upgraded to the next level.

The Halloween events where players were able to obtain or upgrade the Sphere of Miracles were:

  1. Halloween 2013 Timed Challenges: players needed to complete all of the Halloween quests within the Halloween Challenge time period.
  2. Halloween 2014 Timed Challenges: players needed to reach Academician level in the picture Forest House within the Halloween Challenge time period.
  3. Halloween 2015 Timed Challenges: players needed to collect 500 Potions, which were given out as rewards for winning games of the Gem Match within the Halloween Challenge time period.
  4. Halloween 2016 Timed Challenges: players needed to collect 500 Feathers, which were given out as rewards for winning games of the Blocks puzzle within the Halloween Challenge time period.
  5. Halloween 2017 Timed Challenges: players needed to collect 500 Film Reels by winning games of the Gem Match puzzle within the Halloween Challenge time period.
  6. Halloween 2018 Timed Challenges: players needed to collect 500 Witch's hats by winning games of the Jigsaw puzzle within the Halloween Challenge time period.

This is the 7th Desktop Award added to the game and was the first that can only be won during Timed Challenge Events.  The Sphere of Miracles is one of the six awards given by an event that will be a permanent fixture on player's boards once won.

The Sphere of Miracles Desktop Award is located to the left of the Lucky Explorer Desktop Award in the middle of the Home Desktop and, in its Level 1 version, rewards 5 of one of the game's Special Items every 12 hours. During Timed Challenges the Sphere may also award Special Items needed to play the timed event picture, such as Christmas Balls or Pumpkin Lanterns.

If the Sphere of Miracles Desktop Award is charged by a visiting Friend, then its rewards will be doubled; giving you twice as many random Special Item the next time it is ready to collect. Every level of the Sphere of Miracles (charged or uncharged) will give you a different amount of Special Items. You can see the details in Sphere of Miracles Award Levels.

As soon as the reward is collected, a new 12-hour timer starts to count down before the next reward is ready for collection. Note that the timer doesn't restart until the reward is collected, so leaving the Sphere of Miracles for more than 12 hours before collecting the reward does not change the rewards and delays collecting the next reward.

If the Sphere of Wonder is sparkling, indicates that it is fully charged and its rewards are ready to collect by tapping on it. When the Sphere is not ready to be collected, you also can tap on it at any time to bring up its information window.

The Pyramid of Wonder

Pyramid of Wonder Level 6

The Pyramid of Wonder - Level 6

The Pyramid of Wonder was originally offered as part of the Christmas 2013 Update. Since then, it could be won every year during the Christmas update. Players who have already won the Pyramid of Wonder during previous year's events have the opportunity to increase its level to the next award level by completing latest Christmas challenge.

It does not matter which year you previously won the Pyramid of Wonder or what your current level for it is, as soon as you complete the latest Christmas challenge, your Pyramid of Wonder will be upgraded to the next level.

The Christmas events where players were able to obtain or upgrade the Sphere of Miracles were:

  1. Christmas 2013 Holiday Timed Challenge: players needed to reach Academician level  in Gem Match within the Christmas Challenge time period.
  2. Christmas 2014 Holiday Timed Challenge: players needed to collect 500 Snowflakes by successful plays of Gem Match within the Christmas Challenge time period.
  3. Christmas 2015 Holiday Timed Challenge: players needed to collect 500 Bells by successful plays of Gem Match within the Christmas Challenge time period.
  4. Christmas 2016 Timed Challenge players needed to collect 500 Mistletoes by successful plays of Blocks within the Christmas Challenge time period.
  5. Christmas 2017 Timed Challenge players needed to collect 500 Gingerbread Men by successful plays of Gem Match within the Christmas Challenge time period.
  6. Christmas 2018 Timed Challenge players needed to collect 500 Christmas gifts by successful plays of Jigsaw within the Christmas Challenge time period.

This is the 8th Desktop Award added to the game and was the second that can only be won during Timed Challenges. The Pyramid of Wonder is one of the six awards given by an event that will be a permanent fixture on player's boards once won.

The Pyramid sits in the center of the top row of player's Home Desktop and, in its Level 1 version, rewards 5 of one of the game's Special Items every 12 hours. During Timed Challenges, the Pyramid may also award Special Items needed to play the timed event picture, such as Christmas Balls or Pumpkin Lanterns.

The first 12-hour timer starts from the moment the Pyramid of Wonder is won and, after that, the 12-hour timer resets every time the award is discharged. Note that the timer doesn't restart until the reward is collected, so leaving the Pyramid of Wonder for more than 12 hours before collecting the reward does not change the rewards and delays collecting the next reward.

If the Pyramid of Wonder Desktop Award is charged by a Friend, then its rewards will be doubled; giving you twice as many Special Items the next time it is ready to collect. Every level of the Pyramid of Wonder (charged or uncharged) will give you a different amount of Special Items. You can see the details in Pyramid of Wonder Award Levels.

If the Pyramid is sparkling, indicates that it is fully charged and its rewards are ready to collect by tapping on it. When the Pyramid of Wonder is not ready to be collected, you also can tap on it at any time to bring up its information window.

Sparkling desktop awards when you are visiting your friends home desktop

A note about sparkling desktop awards when you are visiting your friends home desktop: Occasionally you will see your friends desktop awards sparkle when you are visiting them. The sparkling has nothing to do with your friends desktop awards or previous visitors to that friend. It is a reflection of your own Home desktop, a result of the fact that the desktop you see when visiting your friends is simply your desktop with a skin on top to show their picture, puzzle and award levels.

There have been two reasons your friends desktop awards may be sparkling: 1. You do not have that award. If your friend has an award you do not, such as the Sphere of Miracles or Pyramid of Wonder, that award will always appear sparkling when you visit. 2. Your own version of that desktop award is fully charged and ready to collect. If you visit a friend and an award you do have is sparkling. Leave the friends page and you will see that award is sparkling on your own Home desktop. If you discharge the award (collect your rewards) and visit the same friend again you will see the award is no longer sparkling on their desktop either. Note that the first option - that you do not have the award yourself - no longer causes the award to sparkle when visiting friends on some platforms.
